Services

Wurlod Animal Therapies works in conjunction with your Veternarian, therefore prior agreement is necessary before any session.

Canine Massage

Uses the Lenton Method® to assess and treat trigger points or knots in areas specific to dogs using Myofascial Release, as well as other classic techniques such as Swedish, Remedial, Sports and Deep Tissue techniques. A session will typically last 1 hour and may incorporate some Photonic Therapy and Craniosacral work.

Equine Massage

Focuses on Remedial Sports Massage along with some Masterson Method® techniques which release muscles at key junctions of the horse's body. A session may also incorporate Photonic Therapy and if requested a Saddle Assessment can be added on. The therapy session usually lasts 1 hour, or 90 minutes with a Saddle Assessment.

Photonic Therapay

This can be used as a stand alone therapy and works by using a red/near infrared light torch (660nm) on specific meridians and acupoints along the body, tailored to whatever injury or tightness the horse or dog may be experiencing. This type of therapy is completely non-invasive. Although it is used in the same way as acupuncture, a light beam is used in place of a needle or laser so there is no risk of tissue damage. A session may last between 45 mins to 1 hour. When used in conjunction with a massage session, a red light pad is used by placing on an area of muscle tightness in preparation for massage, or used in place of massage if the muscles are particularly tender.
